Your Bio

Jan Forseth is a nature photographer specializing in scenic landscapes and animals living in the wild. At any given time, you'll usually find her out amongst the world's creatures and their habitats, getting to know them intimately. Her photographs convey emotion and the rich experience of being in the wild. To do so, she travels full-time to hundreds of locations, exploring the diversity of the natural world.

Jan also has a diverse background herself in mothering, science, writing, consulting, and teaching. She likes to combine her interests and talents to preserve open space, vistas, and wildlife habitat.

With award-winning published work in magazines and books, and exhibits in museums as well as on the web, her portfolio includes many endangered species and threatened locations. She was the Grand Prize Winner in the 5th Annual Nature Conservancy Photo Contest, and her image appeared on the cover of their calendar.
