This is a closeup image of a Whipple's fishhook cactus (Sclerocactus whipplei var. roseus). The cactus is also known as Whipple's cholla or simply fishhook cactus. It reminded me of candy with crystals of sugar inside. Taken in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park, Utah.
