We found a colony of harbor seals (Phoca vitulina) just offshore from an abandoned farm. I had heard that Icelandic law allows you to cross over private land to access the sea, so that's what we did. Had to get over a barbed-wire fence, which resulted in some holes in the pants! Here is one of the lazy seals, yawning during its rest. Taken on the Vatnsnes Peninsula, Northwest Iceland.
